X-ray powder diffraction is a fast and nondestructive physical method commonly used for structural and phase analyses of crystalline phases and for determining the particle and crystallite size of (nano)crystalline materials. This X-ray powder diffraction with a high-temperature/reaction chamber can be utilized for all the above-mentioned analyses under non-ambient conditions (i.e., elevated temperature and/or gas pressure), and, moreover, for performing in-situ monitored, thermally induced solid-state and solid-gas reactions.
