SFC-MS method was developed for a fast, sensitive and selective analysis of monosaccharides in plant-derived gum binders. The analytical procedure allowed for detection of these binders in watercolors applied onto interfering paper support. Gum Arabic was succesfully identified in 1 μg sample.
